Philosophy of Care

The Harbour Club aspires to provide a high quality, client centred day service for our members, adults aged over 65 years old living with dementia. We encourage social inclusion and also engagement in purposeful activities, promoting a sense of self worth hence improving quality of life. Individuals are treated with dignity and respect in a safe, caring environment. We always put our members at the centre of the service we provide, ensuring their voices are heard.

Values and Objectives

Leadership and Workforce
We provide positive leadership though our Occupational Therapist with the philosophy of Occupational Therapy at the heart of all we do. Therapy Staff are encouraged to foster an attitude of sensitivity to the needs of our members, utilising every opportunity to improve the wellbeing for those living with dementia.

High Quality Care
We deliver high quality care through the application of best practice, meeting the individual needs and preferences of our members, ensuring that client centred dementia care is at the heart of our organisation’s culture and is reflected in the service we provide.

We are directed by legislative guidelines to ensure our service delivery is up to date and relevant.

Social Enterprise
The Harbour Club is a Social Enterprise providing a service for a vulnerable sector of the local community. The Harbour Club is a 'Not For Profit' organisation, that re-invest to support and develop the service provided.
